A lith print is an alternative photographic darkroom printing process that uses "infectious development" to achieve its distinct look. Lith prints usually have harsh and gritty shadows and creamy highlights. In lith print processing, a different developing chemical is used than for regular black and white photos. This allows the use of old, fogged papers that would not work for traditional prints. They often have a warm or pinkish tone.
